Dear Community Friend,
The Gallatin Valley Circle of Compassion invites you to join us as a sponsor for our 10th annual Mountains of Courage conference, "When Someone Dies—Dialogues with the Living about Death and Dying”, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at The GranTree Best Western in Bozeman, Montana. This valuable conference will benefit all members of our community.
We are a local non-denominational and non-political volunteer group dedicated to creating a resource network that serves to connect, educate and support our community on matters related to death and dying.
This year our keynote speaker is Karen Wyatt, MD, the founder of End-of-Life-University, which hosts an online website, eoluniversity.com, with hundreds of recorded interviews with a variety of people in the end of life field. Karen is a physician who has spent her 25-year medical career working with patients in challenging settings, such as hospices, nursing homes and indigent clinics.
Dr. Wyatt is the author of the book What Really Matters: 7 Lessons for Living from the Stories of the Dying, and A Matter of Life and Death: Stories to Heal Loss & Grief, as well as several eBooks. Dr. Wyatt received the Spirit of the American Woman Award in 1996, was named one of Utah’s 100 Notable Women in that same year, and in 2005 was a recipient of the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award for Summit County, Colorado.
This one-day conference will also offer short talks and breakout sessions by medical professionals, spiritual counselors, social workers, and caregivers. CE’s will be offered. As a sponsor you will be able to showcase your organization to all participants. We expect attendance of over 120 professional and community members this year.
The attached Sponsor Form identifies the available levels of support and the acknowledgement each level will receive in the community and at the conference. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about the conference or sponsorship opportunities.
